Delightful remains from an 1880's German doll factory, these pieces were glazed & painted by farmers wives and the rejects tossed out into the yard's manure pile which the farmer would then distribute over his garden in Spring.
After the rain, these buried little porcelain bodies could be found & collected, shining in the watered soil.
